This is my final double contents page, i have added all of my images and also i have taken in to account the house style by keeping my font and colours the same an also i have thought about layout.

This Was My Original Image

I Then Got Rid Of The Background
This Would Be one Of My Images On My Contents Page Along With The Following

This is my front cover as you can see i added an effect to the main image to fillin the left over white space , it has most of the codes and conventions of a real magazine but i left some out as in my research i found that school magazines usually do not follow many codes and conventions

Main image process

This is my original image i needed to get rid of the background so i used the magic wand tool on photoshop

This was my product after taking the background off. However when i tried to use it as my main image i found it was too wide so i cropped it in to two pictures then put them closer together.

This was one of the cropped photos ...

And here is the other cropped photo

This was my process

This was my product.

Picture process

When i first took my picture i realised that there was not enough room for all of the models to fit on

So i Then Took Two Models Off Of The Picture it looked okay but something still wasnt right

So i changed thier positions

Finally i realised that the problem was the arrangement of the models so i put the two shortest in the middle and here is my main image

Codes And Conventions

In order to complete my task i must follow the main codes and conventions of magazines.
The main codes and conventions of magazines in general are as follows;

  • The must include A House Style this is when the writing and background on almost every page follows the same font and colouring this is used to show that the pages are apart of the same magazine.

  • A masthead this is the title it should me be placed at the top of the page, be bigger than the other headlines and also a different style to stand out.

  • A main image, this is quite self explanitory, it should be larger than the other images and should be something to do with the main story.

  • A headline, this is the main statement usually in the largest boldest font prior to the title, it should be connected to the main image as it is usually explaining the main story.

  • A tag, this is a word or phrase used to engage the readers in a story by categorising it for example 'World exclusive', 'Sensational'.

  • An exlusive, this is a story that the magazine in question and no one else soly cover the story. The magazine will pay the people who have given them the 'Exclusive' information at hand, so that they will promise not to tell another paper the story.

  • A box out, a small part of the page shaded in a different colour.

  • A Lure, a word or phrase directing the reader to read on to a particular story or feature.

  • Pugs, these are at the top left and right hand corners of the magazine. The price of the magazine, the logo or a promotion. they are placed where they are to catch the readers eye.
